Part of Dance Umbrella 2010. An exhilarating mix of extreme physicality and intense performance, RENDITIONS is a contrasting triple bill of new works by Emanuel Gat, Sarah Michelson & Wendy Houstoun. Michelson combines a sense of grandeur with an eye for detail in a visually striking work. Gat’s intricate sextet shows the dancers’ refined musicality and delights with its detailed and exquisite movement. Houstoun completes the programme with a humourous, theatrical and understated work.

CandoCo Dance Company presents its gripping double bill of dance by choreographers Arthur Pita and Rafael Bonachela. Sixties pop legend and now iconic artist Scott Walker contributes a new composition to Bonachela’s piece ‘And Who Shall Go To The Ball’.
As a successful repertory company, CandoCo pushes boundaries and challenges conventions of contemporary dance resulting in work of extreme physicality and expressive emotion.
CandoCo broadens the perception of what dance is by producing creatively ambitious and high-quality contemporary dance performance that exemplifies the company ethos that dance is accessible to everyone.
CandoCo’s ambitious commissioning policy is the backbone of the Company’s success and has led to over 30 new performance works from internationally renowned choreographers including: Emilyn Claid (UK), Javier de Frutos (UK), Doug Elkins (USA), Siobhan Davies (UK), Fin Walker (UK), Darshan Singh-Bhuller (UK), Athina Vahla (UK) and Stephen Petronio (USA).
CandoCo tours extensively in the UK and abroad and has won multiple awards including the Time Out Performance Award (1992 & 2003), the Unesco ITI Best International Dance Award (2004) and the M.E.N Theatre Award for Dance (2005).
